My Bio
As a child, fashion always caught and held my attention. I remember spending countless hours at my grandmother’s house looking at her collection of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and the Neiman Marcus catalog. By the age of 13 those magazines were my fashion bibles. Every page was a portal into a world of fantasy and I wanted to be able to create such beauty. All of my family and friends knew I was the Guardian of Fashion. While all my friends were asking their parents for toys and video games for Christmas; I was asking for Louis Vuitton and Gucci. And everyone knew if you wanted to look more than average, see Jay. I knew then as I know now that my imagination, my creativity and resourcefulness is not only a talent but a God-given gift.
Through the challenges of working on a wide array of projects I have shaped and honed my talents and skills. With confidence and enthusiasm I can handle any obstacle a task presents; turning proverbial straw into Manolo Blanik’s classic Mary Jane. I have transformed dreams, concepts and themes into a reality. To illustrate that my current portfolio contains a body of work that continuously pushes the creative envelope giving edgy a new edge. My recent assignments include styling for up-and-coming designers such as Michael Anthony; extravagant themes for a photo shoots with renown fashion photographer Richard Warren; and visual merchandising for women’s ready-to-wear department at Macy’s Flagship Store in Herald Square New York City. I’ve shown the dexterity and clarity of my imagination.
In closing, I consider myself to be a well-rounded, professional, gifted and avant garde stylist whose talents and abilities will cater to the new elite of fashion.
